Professional Table Mountain Guiding Service

Standing over 3500 feet tall as the protagonist of our story, Table Mountain has revealed itself to me as a multi-faceted character whose depth cannot be plumbed in the course of a single lifetime, no matter how diligent the pursuit of her secrets. Two decades of consistently hiking and climbing Table Mountain, totalling thousands of ascents up more than 200 different routes, in all weather conditions, it still feels like I have barely scratched the surface of this iconic landmark.

Hike Table Mountain has grown from a personal passion into a way of life, driven by a deep love for the mountain itself. Our approach is simple: we’re not bound by rigid business models or market trends. Instead, we let our passion for Table Mountain guide us, creating a unique and personal experience for everyone who joins our hikes.

Our Story: More Than Just a Hike

My journey began without a business plan—just a desire to share the joy of exploring Table Mountain. Over the past 15 years, this passion has become my life’s work. What started as an offshoot of my love for the mountain has evolved into a thriving business, but at its heart, it remains a pursuit of joy and discovery.

We believe that a great hike is about more than just stunning views. It’s about the people, the shared moments of laughter, camaraderie, and perseverance. Many of our hikes start with strangers and end with friends, and that human connection is what truly brings meaning to what we do. It’s a lesson learned early on: mountain guiding is as much about people as it is about mountains.

I’ve been fortunate to work alongside some of the best in the business, including Mike Wakeford, Stephanie Ellis, and Johan van Vuuren.

Each guide brings a distinctive style and personality to the trail, enriching every hike with their unique perspectives. Their expertise and passion have helped shape me as a guide, and it’s a privilege to share the mountain with these kindred spirits.
